Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Focused Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to
Paola Gutierrez:

“Paola is a bilingual Associate Marriage and Family therapist with two years of experience working in the mental health field. Paola has experience working with clients from diverse walks of life. Outside of the work space she enjoys spending time with her family, loves to explore new coffee shops and watch sports.”

Congratulations to
Justine Lowry, MS, LPCC

“Hi! I’m Justine, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who’s passionate about making a difference every day. My goal is to be the safe person I needed when I was younger, offering a space where clients can talk openly about life’s challenges. Whether it’s school stress, navigating relationships, or dealing with big emotions, I’m here to help. I’ve worked as a school-based therapist, on the local crisis team, and I am now honored to also hold space for clients that struggle with disordered eating patterns and Eating Disorders.

I’m a big believer that our stories shape us, and I’m here to help rewrite them in a way that empowers clients. When I’m not in session, you can find me doing presentations to educate others on mental health, because breaking down stigma and raising awareness is something I’m deeply passionate about.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: to make sure every client knows their feelings matter and are valid. I’m here to support clients through it all, especially when it comes to stress, body image, and mental health!”

Congratulations to
Margot Hughes:

“I’m a proud mama of three and a bilingual Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I’m passionate about guiding individuals and families through their healing journeys and find deep fulfillment in this field. Balancing motherhood and my role as a therapist, I strive to offer warmth, empathy, and cultural sensitivity to every client I support!“

Congratulations to
Leticia Cervantes:

“My name is Leticia Cervantes, and I’m a proud Mexicana and first-generation graduate. I recently earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy on May 2025. My passion for mental health is deeply rooted in my own lived experiences and in witnessing the strength and struggles within my community.

I’m committed to providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that honors identity, resilience, and the power of healing. As a bilingual therapist-in-training, I strive to be the kind of support I once needed —someone who truly sees and affirms others.

Receiving this award is more than recognition; it’s a reminder that our stories matter and that representation in this field can change lives. Thank you so much for this incredible opportunity.“
