    Clinic Social Worker/Therapist (CSW, LMFT, LPCC, ASW, AMFT, APCC) 

    The San Luis Obispo Child Development Center (CDRC) is accepting applications for the position of Clinical Social Worker/Therapist. This position will provide assessment, treatment plans, case management and mental health services (individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and individual rehab) for children and families with severe emotional needs enrolled in the early education programs at CDRC.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide case management & therapy services, including: assessment & treatment planning, progress reports and evaluations, scheduling of required appointments, parent support & training, maintaining regular case notes of client and agency activities & attending multidisciplinary treatment team or similar meetings.
    • Consult with teachers, admin and therapy team regarding students' social-emotional needs related to education by attending Case Review meetings to monitor classroom behavioral progress and treatment plan goals. 
    • Facilitate social groups providing social skills education to children while modeling for teachers.
    • Work with the admin team to provide parent education and parent support groups.
    • Maintain and enhance professional skills by attending professional development trainings.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Part time or Full-Time (30+hour) position available.
    • Starting annual salary range - Depending on licensure and experience.
      • Clinical Social Worker/Therapist I (unlicensed) $30/hr.
      • Clinical Social Worker/Therapist II (licensed) $32/hr.
    • Spanish Bilingual differential (if applicable) of a 10% increase on hourly base rate of pay
    • Eligible to enroll in benefits on the 1st of the month following employee's first 90 days of employment. 
      • CDRC will cover up to $250 of employee's elected premiums

    • Humana Life Insurance - $25,000 death benefit at no charge to the employee.
    • 403(b) plan with an annual employer match.

    • 5 days of vacation accrued annually (increases after 1 years of service)
    • 8 days of sick available each January
    • Clinical supervision for BBS licensure

    Qualifications:

    • The Clinical Social Worker/Therapist must have a Master’s Degree from an accredited state approved graduate school. 
      • The Clinical Social Worker/Therapist is required to be enrolled and current with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
    • Knowledgeable of case work methods and techniques; acceptable therapy practices; theories of behavior management and interventions; clinical assessment, counseling techniques and methodologies.
    • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
    • Experience working with children aged 2-6 preferred.
    • Be of good character and reputation, professional, communicate effectively, and follow agency policy & procedures.
    • Meet all state criminal record & health screening clearance requirements.
