I specialize in working with couples to achieve more of what you want. I help make room for challenging feelings and mutual listening in order to focus on relational growth.
Common issues in my work include: Connection and Individuality; Communication, Assertiveness, Boundaries; Healthy Conflict; Judgment, Criticism and Respect; Expectations and Values; Problems which can come from transitions.
I work on relational patterns which arise from each person's own contribution. I also use somatic awareness to help connect the dots between mind and body, the past and the present, and the beliefs/embodied attitudes that are at play. These combined approaches address a common predicament: when we hold onto familiar attitudes or long-held beliefs while at the same time attempting action or change, the result is often discord or frustration in the relationship.
However, I find this way of working helpful to become curious and informed about what's being preserved as well as what's in the way of making change. From there, we can explore and revitalize what each of you long for, how you communicate and behave, practice new ways, and shift your most important relationships.
