Description (2950 characters max)
I specialize in two distinct but deeply connected areas. My academic research and clinical work have centered on religious trauma, including the process of psychological recovery from high-control religious groups and cultic systems. Through this work, I’ve explored how coercive belief structures shape identity, autonomy, and relational patterns long after a person has left the group.
My research revealed that many from high-control religious groups are also neurodivergent, often with autism or ADHD. Their empathy and moral insight made them both attuned and vulnerable in such systems. This led me to focus my practice on helping neurodiverse adults and families heal from control, shame, and exclusion.
My approach is to create a safe space where clients can process their experiences, heal from the trauma, and rebuild their lives on their own terms. Feel free to reach out to see if my therapeutic style is a good fit for you. I am licensed in California, Utah, and Idaho.
