I enjoy working with women on a variety of women's issues. Issues such as dealing with life's transitions, the loss of an important relationship, a change in family role, how to communicate effectively and assertively, changing to a new job, effective communication, understanding the impact of early life trauma on the adult, anxiety and/or depression are just a few of the concerns women bring to counseling sessions.
I have experience providing child-centered play therapy to children ages 0-6 using non directive play therapy, attachment theory, and filial play therapy. I also have experience working with youth and teens using art as a treatment modality. I enjoy working with couples as parents, single parent and grandparents as parents to establish appropriate limits and boundaries for their minor or adult children.
I have experience as a bereavement counselor and the impact on a parent when they lose a child. In addition, I enjoys the challenge of working with those struggling with their own or their loved ones addiction, and/or addiction to pain management narcotics.
