Julie A. Garcia, Ph.D., Professor, Psychology and Child Development Department
This course is designed to help therapists identify their biases and their affects and learn how to address them so they can create more egalitarian and authentic interactions with clients.
She received her Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Michigan and did a postdoctoral training at Stanford University. She has been on the faculty at California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo in the Department of Psychology and Child Development for over 13 years and has also served as the university's Interim Associate Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion in the Office of University Diversity and Inclusion.
